other 10 Neurotics interviews

"Honestly, I think that sexuality and fetishes are the undercurrent of our lives; everybody has their own particular fetish. I did not put it into my art to sell, I actually thought the opposite: that people would be afraid of lyrics that deals with these topics. I put it in there because it is a part of my life. Why deny it?"
Welcome in the kinky Cabaret of Sam Rosenthal. For 23 years, the guy ist the mastertmind of the Ameircan band Black Tape For A Blue Girl (www.projekt.com), who released a little jewel in fall 2009, with their album 10 Neurtotics. The songs are in part moody, or rocky, or even softly whispered numbers, all in all not easily accessible upon first listening. Given time, however, they inevitably drill themselves into your brain. Musically, no track is like any other one. Alternating vocalists interpret Sma's "Neuroses," all of which are about relationships within a sub-dom consteallation. All this is most poetically expressed by the song, "The Perfect Pervert:" "It excites me that you're training me, mentally, physically, preparing me." A truly special CD (released by Trisol, www.trisol.de), which is decorated with erotic photos by Sam - he's a great photographer, too!
